What if the primary driver of chronic disease isn’t only genetics and external factors but perception itself? 🤔
Perception, shaped by the conscious, subconscious, and unconscious mind, creates subjective reality, influencing how one reacts to and experiences life. These deeply embedded perceptions drive thoughts, emotions, actions, values, and personal narratives, all of which impact physiological function. 🤩
The gut-brain axis and HPA-axis, key regulators of stress and balance, respond to these underlying perceptions, either maintaining equilibrium or triggering chronic dysregulation. When these systems are persistently activated by the sympathomedullary system—leading to HPA dysfunction and increased gut-brain permeability—the effects ripple throughout the body, affecting nearly every cell, hormone, neurotransmitter, organ, and system of the body. 🙂↔️
This cascade manifests as increased perceived stress, glycemic dysregulation, inflammatory signaling, circadian rhythm disruption, microbiome imbalances, physical pain, and emotional numbing.
Over time, this state of dis-ease can influence gene expression and contribute to nearly every known illness, revealing that disease is not simply linear but emerges through complex, interwoven mechanisms. 🧩
