Welcome to 2025

Ayt friends, 2025 is upon us, and we are seven days in; I wanted to connect and share my plans for 2025 as there will be a few changes.

I also wanted to share a process I learned from my friend Chris Kresser, which has become a yearly ritual around my house. At the beginning of the year, I sit down with Mindnode (a mind mapping app) and deeply revisit my Purpose, Vision, and intention for the coming year, reflecting on my past map from the passing year.

Purpose: What are you ultimately trying to accomplish in the world? Without a clear purpose, it is easy to get distracted by nonessential tasks or goals; you get pulled into whatever is going on or what other people are asking of you rather than doing what you need to do to realize your vision.

Vision: the ways you plan to get there. Turning your purpose into an action requires a more specific form: a vision. Your purpose usually stays relatively constant, but your vision may evolve.

Intentions: the specific steps daily, weekly, and monthly to support realizing your vision and, ultimately, your purpose. Your intentions/goals should support your vision, and your vision should support your purpose. Use your intentions to prioritize tasks based on whether they will get you closer to your intentions.

After creating the mindmap, I check in daily to set direction and tasks for the day, check in on Sundays to set intentions and direction for the week, and set intentions and direction for the month on one Sunday a week.

I realize this process is not for everyone, and for many, it can feel confining. I had this sense when first starting it back in 2016. Over the years, it has become easy, fun, and amazingly supportive of my trajectory in the world. I’d also share that it has helped me be extremely resilient in my business regardless of what is happening in the world. Consider giving it a try, and I’ll share my 2025 mindmap below.

2025 MindMap

Well, that is it from me for now. I genuinely wish you all that your heart and mind desire in 2025, but even more so, I wish you the grace, ease, and tools to support you in 2025, no matter what shows up in your life.

May the universe surprise me/you

Jator Pierre
